Dragonfly up close

WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY – ENCHANTED FOREST PARK, NORTH MIAMI, FL

This macro photograph is of the face of a dragonfly. The camera gear used in this macro photograph of a dragonfly was a Nikon D90 camera body attached to a Nikkor 60mm 2.8 lens. This photograph was taken extremely close to the subject dragonfly. The “trick” is patience and a steady hand! Move slow and easy in a fluid motion, not sudden or jerky.

I think a good caption for this photo would be “In your face!”

Care was taken as to not create shadows nor approach too suddenly.
